Every letter we facilitate is written by a licensed mental health professional: licensed clinical social workers, professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, psychologists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners. Each clinician is licensed in the state where the client lives, carries active credentials we verify before they join, and evaluates every client individually.
Clinicians in our network are paid for evaluations, not approvals. When a clinician concludes an assistance animal is not appropriate for someone, that decision stands, the client is refunded, and the clinician is still compensated for their time. Removing the incentive to approve everyone is the single most important thing a service like ours can do, so we did it first.
